Ukulele is again a string based musical instrument. I came across this musical instrument while I was watching Youtube video and I binged on those two sisters who were playing this instrument amazingly.
I first thought that this is Guitar. Looked like the smaller version of Guitar but when I closely noticed I found out this is not Guitar but something else as it was having lesser number of strings, though there are Ukuleles with 6 strings but standard Ukulele has 4 strings.
This time I searched on the web and came across that this is Ukulele. I took some time to pronounce it clearly 🙂 anyway.
There are broadly 4 types of Ukulele:
- Soprano: (21-22 Inch)
- Concert: (23-24 Inch)
- Tenor: (~26 Inch)
- Baritone (29-30 Inch)
They are different majorly w.r.t their sizes as provided above. Soprano is the smallest in size (hence number of frets are also less comparing this with others). Another Ukulele which is not present in the above classification called Pocket Ukulele. This is even small in size than Soprano and hence not used by serious practitioners. This Ukulele is being used by the Kids for beginner practice.
Again Ukulele purchase guide and products review will be added in the next set of blogs. I just want to cover these musical instruments in brief first so that readers can grasp the concepts later on. Stay Tuned.
